This project is a pioneer international collaboration investigating the reliability, validity and clinical utility of prototype diagnosis of Axis I mood and anxiety disorders. More specifically, we will compare empirically derived prototypes, constructed from DSM-IV criteria, and categorical diagnosis based on current DSM-IV diagnostic system. The ultimate goal of this project is to provide empirical data to guide the future developments of DSM and ICD diagnostic systems.
The project is funded by the US-Israel Binational Science Foundation.
